Here are three questions Tanya asks with every new order:
Where will it live?
Light determines everything. All terrariums need bright indirect light, a well-lit room where natural light comes in without direct sun on the glass. If your space is darker, a USB LED display light works beautifully.
How much maintenance do you want?
Closed terrariums are genuinely set-and-admire. A small top-up of water every few months, lid on, and the tiny ecosystem takes care of itself. Open terrariums are still simple but need a little more attention.
What feeling are you after?
A grounded naturalistic forest floor? A whimsical scene with a door and a winding path? Lush sealed tropical greenery? A clean coastal succulent arrangement? A piece built around someone or something that matters?
